TRAVELLING TO UKRAINE – VALID FROM 23.3.2021

NEW RULES FOR THE ARRIVAL OF FOREIGNERS TO UKRAINE IN FORCE FROM 23.3.2021.

As of March 22, the new rules for arriving in Ukraine came into force.

What conditions apply to the entry of foreigners into the territory of Ukraine?

Foreigners (regardless of which country they come from) must undergo a PCR test for coronavirus, which is not older than 72 hours at the beginning of the trip, before traveling to Ukraine and have a written confirmation of the result. Another condition for the entry of a foreigner into the territory of Ukraine is a confirmation of insurance of costs related to COVID-19 treatment or observation (placement in a quarantine facility). The insurance is to be issued by a company (insurance company) registered in Ukraine, or a foreign insurance company that has a representative office in Ukraine or a contractual relationship with a partner insurance company in the territory of Ukraine. Insurance can be arranged online, for example here visitukraine.today.

What are the conditions for the return of citizens of Ukraine?

Citizens of Ukraine (regardless of which country they come from) can choose a 14-day observation / self-isolation using the mobile application “Дій вдома” (“Act at home”) at the chosen address or border to submit a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 48 hours. If a person refuses to install the Jednej doma mobile application, he or she will be placed in a hospital-designated hospital, where he or she will have to undergo a 14-day observation. This obligation does not apply to children under 12 years of age, members of international organizations or observation missions, drivers and crew members, etc.
