Transportation of passengers with disabilities and medical conditions
The Rights of disabled people travelling by air are subject to the Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2006 of the European Parliament and the Council of July 5th, 2006, concerning the rights of disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility and orientation when travelling by air.
The aim of this regulation is to protect and help disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility when travelling by air to prevent them from discrimination and provide assistance to meet their particular needs.
In order to give disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility opportunities for air travel comparable to those of other citizens. Therefore, the regulation establish the assistance provided at the airport as well as on board of an aircraft. The persons concerned should receive this assistance without additional charge.
When and who to contact?
The body of Pardubice airport is obliged to provide disabled passengers and passengers with reduced mobility a service of assistance. The request for the assistance service should be reported to your travel agency, carrier or its representative at least 48 hours prior to the departure and also time of the return flight should be included.
