Making plans for extended weekend?

Doesn´t  south of Spain sound good?

From the end of March, the inhabitants of eastern Bohemia will have wider choice of European cities to choose from while making their travel plans. On Monday, March 26, a scheduled flight  from Pardubice to Alicante in Spain will start it´s operation. The connection will be operated twice a week, on Monday and Thursday, by Irish Ryanair.

"Alicante is the capital of the southern province of the autonomous region of Valencia. It is a port city and Pardubice now will have the Mediterranean Sea in reach of less than 3 hours. As well as other areas of Spain. For example, Madrid - Alicante is just two and a half hours by high-speed train, "said Hana Smejkalová, director of Pardubice International Airport.

The Alicante flight will arrive in Pardubice regularly on Monday, 18:30 and on Thursday at 20:05, departing 25 minutes later. The connection takes 2 hours and 55 minutes, return ticket is usually around 2500 Czech crowns, but it can also be cheaper. "For those looking for short-term stay, for example by the sea, evening departure is an advantage. On Thursday you leave for work and you have four days off on the beach. And you can be back home on Monday evening, "said the airport manager.

The air route to Spain is already the second regular route for Ryanair to operate at Pardubice Airport. Since September, three times a week, scheduled flights operate between Pardubice and London. Boeing B738, with a capacity of 189 passengers, are mostly full. As with London departures and arrivals, passengers can use the newly established bus line number 90, which connects the airport terminal with the main railway station even in the case of Alicante. There are three buses connecting  departing passengers – leaving  train staition 90, 120 and 150 minutes before scheduled departure. And 2 buses – leaving 30 and 60 minutes after plane arrival.
